A vibrant rainbow appeared over parts of Karachi on Thursday night after heavy rain, offering a rare and striking sight after a day marked by severe weather.
The phenomenon was witnessed in several areas, and this photograph captured from the Saadi Town area shows a complete arc stretching across the horizon as the clouds began to clear.

The rainbow emerged soon after heavy rains hit the metropolis, which had earlier caused disruption including waterlogging and traffic congestion in multiple areas.
Meteorologists say these rainbows form when sunlight passes through moisture-laden clouds, refracting droplets of light in the atmosphere, which often appear after heavy rain subsides.
Residents took to social media to share images and videos of the mesmerizing sight, describing it as a moment of calm after the storm and a welcome sight amid the city’s rain-related challenges.
