Tiger Woods had at least one friend to lean on shortly after his vehicle overturned in an accident.
Bodycam footage obtained by Pak Gazette Digital showed Woods hanging up his phone and then telling an officer that he was “talking to the president.”
After the accident, Woods took a phone call and walked down the street for a moment. Woods paced back and forth on the phone before an officer called him back.

“Mr. Woods, please allow me to stay here with us,” the officer said.
“Thank you very much. Okay, you got it. Thanks, bye,” Woods said as he ended his phone call.
Woods then asked the officer to repeat what he had said, which the officer did.
“Yes, I was talking to the president,” Woods said calmly.
The blatant ad didn’t help this situation because Woods was arrested for driving under the influence. Despite Woods recording “triple zeros” on a breathalyzer, Woods showed signs of impairment and was found with two hydrocodone pills, a prescription opioid for pain relief.

Woods told officers before field sobriety tests that he underwent seven back surgeries and “more than 20 leg surgeries.” He told authorities: “I take some” prescription medications.
In 2021, he suffered an accident that caused serious leg injuries that kept him off the golf course throughout the year.
President Donald Trump expressed his continued support for Woods.
“He lives a life of pain. He’s in a lot of pain. He’s an incredible guy. He’s an incredible athlete. He’s in pain,” Trump said Tuesday of Woods. “He doesn’t have a problem with alcohol, but he does have pain.”

Shortly after the accident, Trump described Woods as a “a very close friend of mine” with “some difficulty.” Woods is dating Trump’s former daughter-in-law Vanessa, the mother of the president’s granddaughter Kai.
