Pakistan sees sharp drop in terrorist violence


Overall, terrorist incidents in Pakistan decreased by 18% during the first three months of the year, according to a report.

Terrorist incidents in Pakistan have seen a considerable decline as a result of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq.

As a result of the operation, terrorist incidents in March this year decreased by 59 percent compared to last month (February).

According to a fact-based report by renowned research organization, “Security Research and Studies Centre”, published by Arab News, the nefarious designs of terrorists have been crushed thanks to Pakistan’s effective strategy under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq. The report says that compared to the previous quarter, terrorism decreased by 57 percent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a clear reduction being observed in other cities as well.

Similarly, both terrorist incidents and deaths decreased in the first quarter of the year compared to last year, the report added.

Overall, terrorist incidents in Pakistan decreased by 18 percent during the first three months of the year, the report said.

The increased number of terrorist casualties in security force operations reflects that these operations have become more coordinated, effective and lethal, according to the report.

According to the report, Fitna al-Khwarij and Fitna al-Hindustan carried out attacks on unarmed civilians in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the federal capital.

International experts also opined that during Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, terrorist centers in Afghanistan have been severely damaged, which has improved the security situation in Pakistan.
