Brittany Mahomes may have avoided the broadcast camera when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Houston Texans on Saturday night, but she was at Arrowhead Stadium for the game.
Mahomes surprised NFL fans with his appearance in the AFC playoff game. A few days earlier, she gave birth to her and Patrick’s third child, Golden Raye.

Fans who saw Mahomes on the sidelines to support her husband showered her with praise for showing up. She and Patrick announced the birth of their son on Monday.
Brittany Mahomes was pregnant for the entire 2024 NFL season and still managed to show up to most of the Chiefs’ home games at Arrowhead Stadium to support the quarterback and the team.
Patrick seemed to be concerned about the timing of the birth. She was scheduled to have the child the week the Chiefs could have had a playoff game. Patrick could have been in line to miss the birth if Kansas City didn’t win the games it needed to earn home-field advantage and a bye in the first round of the postseason.
Fortunately, the Chiefs concluded that against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.
Patrick spoke about his latest child on Wednesday.
“I’m good with three for now,” he told reporters Tuesday. “Maybe we’ll see later, but my goal was always three, so we’ve had three, and we’ll stay there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later.”
The family already has two children: Bronze and Sterling. Mahomes talked about how Brittany was doing after the birth of her newborn and how the other siblings are handling it.
“It’s been great. I mean, I’m just rooting. Brittany crushed it,” he said. “It’s been great to welcome another girl into our family and see how my other kids react to her and having a sissy and stuff like that. It’s been a lot of fun, and it was great that football was on TV when I was on.” He wasn’t at the hospital, so I got to see him a little bit. “Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football while she was preparing to give birth to our second daughter.”
The Chiefs will be home for an AFC Championship Game against either the Buffalo Bills or the Baltimore Ravens.
