The attack came amid escalating regional tensions, with Gulf countries increasingly affected by Iran’s retaliatory missile and drone campaign during the ongoing US-Israel war. Amid the conflict, four Pakistani citizens died in the United Arab Emirates due to falling debris from missile interceptions.

The incident comes as regional tensions intensify following a sharp escalation between the United States and Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had shot down several US aircraft, including C-130 transport planes and Black Hawk helicopters, during a rescue operation in Isfahan province, as Tehran stepped up retaliatory strikes.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump warned Iran that it would “live in hell” if it did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil route that has remained effectively closed for weeks. The conflict has triggered missile and drone attacks on Gulf countries, targeting key infrastructure and raising fears of broader regional instability.
