Strands is the latest NYT word game after Wordle, Spelling Bee, and Connections, and it’s a lot of fun. It can be difficult, though, so read on for my Strands suggestions.

A hint from KNOT confirmed that we were looking for navigation terminology rather than words that describe people who like to take charge and boss people around.
That said, the first words I found (MARK and COURSE) are not exclusively nautical.
It wasn’t until my fourth word of the game, FATHOM, that I finally set sail on today’s journey and cleared the board, but it was far from an easy road.
A chef’s kiss to the puzzle creators who created the current sailboat-shaped spangram. Awesome.
