Tensions between the royal family and the Sussexes are no closer to being resolved, but it seems like both sides would have to reach a compromise sooner or later.
The upcoming visit to Australia is “one of, if not the most anticipated royal events of the year,” according to royal author Richard Palmer. He explained that no matter how well-intentioned Harry and Meghan’s plans are, they could overshadow some key events for the royals.
He noted that the Sussexes want to “prove their critics wrong, so they hope it will be a huge success.” If things go as planned, it will be Meghan’s “revenge” against everyone who didn’t believe in her.
The royal author believes that the reason Buckingham Palace and Montecito are “talking”, even if it is in private, is because there is still an undeniable impact that the Sussexes have. There is definitely “a certain amount of conflict” here throughout their years-long feud.
“I think it will also upset the King and other members of the family if, as seems likely, Meghan and Harry attract a lot of media attention while they are in Australia, and then that overshadows whatever is happening here,” he said. The mirror.
Furthermore, the Sussexes seemed to have overcome one of their “biggest” frustrations, as they had to submit to the order of hierarchy, starting with King Charles, Queen Camilla and even up to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“They found it really frustrating having to fit in with everyone else when, as far as they were concerned, they were the big box office draw,” he said. “But from Meghan and Harry’s point of view, they don’t have to worry about that anymore.”
This could prove to be a major victory for Meghan against her brother-in-law and future King William, who wants to remove the Sussexes from the royal fold. It would be a blow as the Palace is forced to recognize the impact Harry and Meghan have even as non-working royals.
