King Charles reportedly decided to groom Prince William to take the throne after realizing his time on earth is “limited.”
Amid reports that the monarch is reluctant to abdicate his throne in favor of his and the late Princess Diana’s firstborn, a new report claims Charles has changed his mind.
talking to Online radarsA royal source revealed that Charles decided to prepare his son to rule and take charge of the monarchy so that he can focus on his cancer treatment.
A source revealed that cancer has taken its toll on Charles, as he was recently seen in an “emotional” state while speaking to a Church of England elder.
“Carlos was visibly emotional with his head buried in his hands at one point,” they said. “This is not the king his subjects are used to seeing, and it was extremely disturbing to anyone who was present.”
“The king realizes that his time on Earth is limited,” they continued. “He is now concentrating on making peace with God and making sure William is prepared to take over when he is gone.”
The source further revealed that the monarch has been finding peace in religion as “his cancer is literally eating him alive.”
“The situation is becoming difficult to handle and forces you to prepare Prince William to receive the launch,” they continued.
They went on to share that Charles is relieved to pass his throne to William and his wife, Kate Middleton, knowing “it will be in good hands.”
“King Charles is naturally delighted that Kate has beaten cancer for a number of reasons,” the royal source said. “But on a pragmatic level, it says the monarchy is now in (good) health and in good hands for another generation.”
