The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have big plans afoot as they prepare for their long-awaited visit to Australia.
The visit was announced earlier this year by Sussex’s office, stating that Prince Harry and Meghan would undertake a “number of private, business and philanthropic commitments.” However, it also sparked several other debates over who is funding the trip and the question of whether their children will attend or not.
Harry and Meghan have been very particular about the safety of their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, but sources have revealed that the parents have been hatching a plan to bring their children to Australia.
However, Archie and Lilibet will not be flying with their parents next week when they come to Australia. Sources cited by Heat The magazine shared that Harry and Meghan will not be bringing their son this time since it is a short trip.
Although, if things go well, it will be “just the beginning.” Children are “crazy” about animals and would love to see kangaroos and koalas. Then the trip will happen, it is “just a question of when.”
Talks are reportedly underway between Buckingham Palace and Montecito to find a way to end the years-long dispute, but there are some key obstacles in the way. Prince William, who is the future king, is not interested in bringing the Sussexes back even though King Charles is open to having peace for the sake of his grandchildren.
In case things don’t work out, Harry and Meghan are already working on a backup plan. Sources suggested that Harry and Meghan could also be looking at properties during their visit, possibly for a second home.
“There have even been some discussions about buying property and making Australia a second home,” the source said. “They’re not planning on leaving the United States full-time, but it’s no secret that they’re feeling pretty disillusioned with Hollywood right now.”
Australia sounds attractive and Meghan would be happy to make the move from a business perspective. She believes it would be easier to conquer a market if you were there. However, before anything happens, next week’s visit should go smoothly.
