Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold mega smartphone was a landmark device, but after just three months since its launch, the tech giant is discontinuing it, and today is the last chance you’ll have to buy it if you missed it the first time.
Today, Samsung will restock its online store with its latest batch of Galaxy Z TriFold devices in the US after ending sales in South Korea following its final restock last month. This restock is likely Samsung’s chance to sell the last of its remaining triple-folding smartphones, but it will sell out quickly.
Although the rather high production costs are one of the main factors for the discontinuation, Samsung never intended to release the Galaxy Z TriFold as a permanent device in its Galaxy smartphone line. When the company first put the smartphone on sale, it was limited to customers in the US and South Korea, with the first two allocations being just 3,000 units each, significantly limiting availability.

That said, Samsung shared a statement with us last month that said, “The Galaxy Z TriFold was introduced as a super premium device in limited quantities. In Korea, the strong consumer response led to all available units being sold out. Customers in other countries still have the opportunity to purchase the device.”
With the final restock approaching, this is your last chance to get your hands on one of the most sought-after devices in recent years. But be careful, this will sell like hot cakes, so it’s best to come up with a game plan to get ahead of other determined customers in the queue.
This is how you can increase your odds
As shared by u/ELITEtvGAMER on Reddit, there are a few tips to keep in mind.
First, you’ll want to create a Samsung store account before the sale; There’s nothing worse than being asked to log in or create an account during the most important steps of the purchasing process. And the same goes for payment methods.
If you are asked to enter payment details while checking out, there is a chance that the Galaxy Z TriFold may be removed from your cart during this time, as simply adding it to your cart does not guarantee purchase. It is different to sites like Ticketmaster that reserve the selected tickets in your basket with a countdown.
Not sure how to add your card details? You can try adding an item to your cart (preferably something cheap in case you accidentally process the payment) and checkout to save your data that way, as the Reddit user suggests.
Once you’ve logged in and saved your payment details in advance, the next thing you can do to ensure a smooth experience is to familiarize yourself with the Samsung online store and the payment process. That way you’ll know how many steps you’ll need to take and how quickly you’ll need to act to make sure you pack the Galaxy Z TriFold before it runs out of stock.
