Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new limited-time crossover event that brings Doom: The Middle Ages to immortal devil.
Inspired by immortal devilThe Survivor’s Bane, The Slayers Reign crossover event will begin on April 15 and run until May 13, transforming the Sanctuary with Condemn-Inspired gameplay, enemies, cosmetics and progression systems taken directly from the Dark Ages was.
“Queen in hell with iconic DOOM: The Middle Ages limited-time gameplay and cosmetics that are feared by Hell,” Blizzard said in the official blog post. “Stop, break, and blast hordes of demons using iconic weapons like the Shield Saw, Dreadmace, and the legendary Super Shotgun.”

In addition to the “Slayer-inspired” arsenal, players can also utilize six unique abilities, some of which work together to deal maximum damage to enemies and reward aggression and momentum.
Imps will stalk the battlefield, but it is the Cyberdemon who is the main boss of the crossover event. The Ancient Elder of Hell must be defeated using the Hunter’s skills and weapons in order to claim victory, as well as the legendary gem, The Crucible.

The Crucible is a two-star gem and “the most legendary artifact of the Night Sentinels”, and deals “damage to enemies below a set maximum health that causes them to be slaughtered” and increases as the target’s health decreases.
“Enemies killed briefly after being slaughtered grant you Assassin’s Rage, increasing your damage and movement speed,” Blizzard explained. “Assassin’s Wrath stacks, and killing a player instantly grants you maximum stacks. Killing cannot occur more than once every few seconds per enemy.”
During Slayer’s Regin, players can also earn Condemn-Weapon cosmetics inspired by the Night Sentinels, including the Praetor of the Slayer armor, plus getting the Serrat mount and Cacodemon minion as transmogs.
More event rewards include a legendary shield, five emojis, six shields, 10 loadouts, and 10 Sentinel Forged armory weapon cosmetics, along with the aforementioned Crucible gem.
