Britain’s future monarch, Prince William, has hatched a surprise plan to protect his reign and strengthen the monarchy amid family turmoil and a shortage of senior working royals.
King Charles’s heir has decided to pick a ‘royal dark horse’ to fill a senior role amid royal shortages, according to a new report.
Kate Middleton’s husband, the Prince of Wales, is said to be hoping the next generation of royals will step up as he prepares to take the throne.
The 43-year-old is considering a “thinned monarchy” when he becomes King, but apparently finds himself “running out of royals” to manage the Firm’s affairs and represent the monarchy.
It was speculated that when the Prince of Wales ascended the throne, he would usher in a new chapter for the royal family, characterized by a “thinned monarchy”.
However, the list of working royals has already been substantially reduced, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping down from lifelong royal duties in the US in 2020 and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor being banished from public life.
The father of three could be considering deploying Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, in a more prominent capacity, according to the daily mailIt’s Christopher Wilson.
“That leaves dark horse contender Lady Louise Windsor, 22, who charms everyone who knows her and could be a decorative and useful asset to the royal team. But her mother Sophie, very protective of her daughter, is very likely to want her to stay out of the spotlight,” Wilson said.
The expert also hinted at Lady Louise’s younger brother James, 18, noting: “Little is known of his character and personality or whether he would like to serve as a senior royal, even if William wished to do so. He is currently a pupil at Radley, Berkshire’s public school.”
Willam might is noting that the loyal member of the family will encounter difficulties as the public demand for the assistance of a royal. As royalty they must always represent events throughout the country.
Lady Louise Windsor, who is currently studying at the University of St Andrew’s in Scotland, where William and Kate met, has made a few select appearances at royal events, including Royal Ascot and Trooping the Colour.
However, Duchess Sophie is prepared to keep her two children out of the royal spotlight and provide them with a normal upbringing, despite their royal lineages.
