Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave a fitting response to rumors about Netflix and several legal battles when the two stepped out for a glamorous look.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who will travel to Australia in a matter of days, arrived at a private residence, which was the venue for Season 2 of Netflix’s BEEF, Montecito Tastemaker, on Saturday.
The most notable in attendance was the streaming giant’s CEO, Ted Sarandos, and his wife, Nicole Avant. The two couples showed a united front as they posed for photos together and seemed in good spirits despite the continued speculation.
This is the first time the Sussexes have been seen with Ted Sarandos after Variety reported last months that there are tensions between the two following the contract fallout.
Sources had insisted that Ted was avoiding Meghan and that the company was “done” with the couple and their “recycled” ideas. Other reports also claimed that Netflix had cut ties with Meghan’s As Ever and not the other.
Although the streaming giant and the Sussexes officially made it clear that there were no problems, there was still skepticism surrounding the matter, as company insiders painted a completely different story.
Meanwhile, Harry’s demeanor also seemed relaxed despite receiving news that his former charity was suing him for defamation. Harry, who had long been with Prince Seeiso and his many trustees, had left the beloved Sentebale charity after a dispute.
A spokesman for Harry had called the claims “damaging” and “offensive.”
