Iran’s military chief discusses defense cooperation with COAS Asim Munir

Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff (CGS) of Iranian Armed Forces, visited General Headquarters (GHQ) of Pakistan and met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, he said on Monday the army’s media wing.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the prevailing regional security environment and explored avenues for bilateral defense cooperation, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Upon arrival, Major General Bagheri laid a wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, paying homage to the martyrs of Pakistan. He was accorded a guard of honor by an elegantly trained contingent of the Pakistan Army.

The visit underscores the continued efforts of both nations to strengthen regional security ties and enhance bilateral military collaboration.
