De’Longhi has launched a new coffee maker that “learns” which drinks you prefer at certain times of the day and offers to make them with just a touch of its color touchscreen. De’Longhi Primadonna Aromatic has a menu of over 30 different drink options, but rather than forcing you to scroll through a long list of coffee variations, it puts your usual orders up front for quick access.
Best of all, these quick recommendations change depending on the time of day, so if you like to start your morning with a double espresso and enjoy a latte with lunch, the right option will be right there on the screen. Think of it as a friendly barista who always remembers your usual order and can prepare it without you asking.
I tried Primadonna Aromatic after it launched in the UK last year and loved this clever feature, which can be a huge time saver. It’s no problem if you and your partner enjoy different drinks: the machine allows you to create up to four different profiles, each of which will keep its own record of the owner’s preferences.

The Primadonna Aromatic also ticks all the basics: it brews consistently delicious espresso and customizes your own brew settings to suit your chosen coffee beans. There’s a large-capacity bean hopper on top, but you can choose to skip it and use a scoop of pre-ground coffee if you prefer, which is very handy if you want to switch to decaf in the afternoon, for example.
The machine can brew hot and cold brew and has an advanced milk frothing system that can produce hot or cold milk froth using dairy or a plant-based alternative. It performed exceptionally well during my testing and produced one of the best latte macchiatos I’ve ever had in a home brewer (perfect for summer).
