NYT Strands Today (Game #777): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 777 are…
- ADJUST
- MODIFY
- TWEAK
- REFINE
- IMPROVE
- ALTER
- SPANGRAM: THEREIFIXEDIT
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
Even though I managed to complete this game without any clues, I still classify it as “tricky”, because it took me longer than usual to complete it, and that was with the big help of a couple of rare letters.
The other bonus was that after seeing “there” on the board I decided it had to be part of the spangram and continued connecting letters until I came to THEREIFIXEDIT, a spangram that felt very similar to a magician pulling an endless scarf out of a top hat.
Today’s quest, then, revolved around perfectionism and people who have to get things done that way to feel like they’ve completed a job to their high standards, a character trait I certainly don’t have. Instead of “I fixed it there,” my phrase when repairing things is “that’s useful there.” Maybe we evaders will one day have our own Strands.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Saturday, April 18, Game #776)
- BUDGET
- NEGOTIATE
- CHEAP
