Josh Allen is settling into fatherhood with his trademark enthusiasm and making sure everyone knows who deserves the real credit.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 29, spoke to reporters at a press conference on April 20, just weeks after he and wife Hailee Steinfeld announced the arrival of their baby on April 2.
He was candid about the impact the newcomer has already had on him.
“It definitely changes [your] a little mentality. I’m very excited. I think this is going to be the best version of myself in all aspects, in my professional career and in my personal life. “It’s a great blessing.”
But he was quick to point out that none of this would be possible without Steinfeld holding it all together.
“I have an absolutely rock star wife who is doing so many things right now and allowing me to be here right now and be with my teammates. So yeah, special moments.”
On the topic of sleep, or lack thereof, Allen was surprisingly honest. “I mean, no, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s very rewarding.”
Steinfeld, 29, was equally stunned when she shared the news of her daughter’s arrival at her home. Beau Society Substack information sheet.
“To say we are incredibly happy and in love with this little girl would be an understatement,” he wrote. “I am immersed in the happiness of the newborn.”
Allen had been openly excited about becoming a father long before the birth.
Speaking at a Bills press conference in January, he told reporters that he was “really looking forward to becoming a father, with my wife,” calling it something he would “take on with great pride.”
He also acknowledged that juggling a newborn and returning to training camp this summer would require some improvisation.
“We’ll have to figure things out as we go like anything else. This is the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life: being a father.”
