The countdown to the 2026 NFL Draft is almost over.
The draft gives fans hope that better days are ahead for their favorite team, with hopes that their franchise’s next star player will be named this weekend.
While we’ll all enjoy the draft on Thursday night, how about we try to enjoy it even more by finding some winning bets?
Let’s take a look.

David Bailey be selected second overall (+275)
After the Las Vegas Raiders select Fernando Mendoza first overall Thursday night as expected, all eyes will turn to the New York Jets, who own the second pick in the NFL Draft.
This time last week, Bailey, a 6-foot-3 defensive end from Texas Tech, was the favorite to finish second. A couple of weeks before that, Ohio State standout Arvell Reese was the favorite to be the Jets’ pick. Now, the odds have tilted toward Reese once again, and many believe he will be the choice.
While there is support in the betting market for Reese to come off the board here, it is far from unanimous.
Many of the most respected mock drafts still have the Jets nabbing Bailey, and the others have argued enough to make me believe this is more of a coin toss than these odds suggest.
Bailey had 14.5 sacks in his final college season and could turn out to be an elite running back at the next level. Having him at odds of almost 3/1 and considering the uncertainty here regarding this pick, he’s worth a shot.
PICK: David Bailey (+275) will be selected second overall
Jeremiah love be written by New York Giants
The former Notre Dame star is widely considered the best running back of this draft class and is considered generational by some analysts. Of course, we’ve heard similar superlatives in recent years to describe running backs Ashton Jeanty and Bijan Robinson.
Regardless, Love is a highly coveted dual-threat running back and is expected to have his name called early Thursday night.
Love is the heavy favorite to make the top five, but the question is exactly where he will land.
The Cardinals pick at No. 3 and apparently will have a chance to snag him. But with plenty of needs, they could also opt to select whoever doesn’t come in second between Bailey and Reese. If they go defensively, the Titans will be next with the fourth pick. New head coach Robert Saleh has defensive experience and perhaps the Titans will opt to develop that side of the ball rather than signing a running back so early.
That brings us to the Giants at No. 5.
Over the weekend, they acquired the 10th overall pick, sending Dexter Lawrence to the Bengals. Could new Giants head coach John Harbaugh see that extra pick as an opportunity to use the fifth pick to help his young quarterback, Jaxson Dart? Dart was banged up and frequently injured last year, and the presence of a potentially elite running back could take pressure off him, allowing him to run less.
Getting long odds on Love to last with the Giants is tempting, and if he’s there, I don’t think New York can resist.
PICK: Jeremiyah Love (+600) will be selected by the New York Giants
Jermod Mccoy draft position Over 32.5 +120
The former Tennessee cornerback would be a lock to be selected Thursday night if he were fully healthy.
Unfortunately for McCoy, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
McCoy missed the entire 2025 season recovering from a torn ACL. This week, reports have emerged that there are concerns he will require another surgery, this time to repair a problem with the cartilage in his knee.
This potential surgery would not be related to his previously torn ACL, as the medical red flags appear to be piling up. Hopefully, McCoy can overcome these concerns and have a long, productive NFL career, but for a cornerback who relies on speed and athleticism, there might be too many medical issues for him to go in the first round.
CHOOSE: Jermod Mccoy (+120) draft position Over 32.5
