Storage wars Star Darrell Sheets reportedly committed suicide at the age of 57. He died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner. The police have opened an investigation into the matter.
The police news release says: “On April 22, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual.”
He added that the Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit took charge of the case.
“Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” police said.
Sheets rose to fame after her appearance on a reality television show. storage wars, in which bidders competed against each other to buy abandoned storage units.
Known as “The Gambler” for his reckless gambling, Sheets appeared in 160 episodes of the show from 2010 to 2023.
Variety reports that the reality show star retired to Arizona after suffering a heart attack in 2019.
The outlet reports that he owned and operated a store called Havasu show me your trash in Arizona.
