Someone built some headphones made from Scrub Daddy sponges, and that’s not even what’s surprising: they got “godly” audiophile-level measurement results.

  • …however, these were sold online for only $100, although you won’t be able to buy one

If you’ve ever thought that all headphones look too alike these days, here’s something you’ll love to see. An audio engineer has built headphones using yellow sponges with smiley faces on them (I’m sure Scrub Daddy is a household name) and apparently they’re surprisingly good.

Over on Reddit, a well-known sound engineer named Pud – u/pudjam667 (who often shares his creations on the platform and on Pud.com) – has revealed his latest concoction: open-back headphones with the insides housed inside Scrub Daddy sponges.
