Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor may try to pull the ‘Queen’s second son’ card, but King Charles is making sure the disgraced former prince doesn’t get too comfortable with his privileges.
The monarch’s embarrassed brother had been moved to Marsh Farm earlier this month after being kicked out of the sprawling Windsor mansion earlier this year following the removal of all his royal titles.
It was reported that when Andrew was arrested in February, he was dragged from the property while shouting that he was the “Queen’s second son”.
However, it seems that Andrew had been brought to the same level as a normal citizen without any additional benefits. Locals have noted that there are certain details that Andrew’s house has, probably an attempt to humiliate him.
“Andrew now has a front door that matches the staff at Sandringham, which shows how far he has fallen from grace. He is now like any other tenant,” said one local. The mirror.
“The color of the front door indicates that the house is owned by the king, so it is a constant reminder that his brother is paying for him to live there. As a tenant, he is not allowed to change the front door, so he has to keep it.”
