Kendal Gray and Kali Armstrong are two professional wrestlers who represent the future of the WWE women’s division.

Each rising superstar was able to obtain the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship during their time in the developmental promotion and has made a huge impact since being called up to the NXT brand. Gray won the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge and Armstrong warned Lola Vice that she was coming for the NXT Women’s Championship.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T discussed Gray and Armstrong’s meteoric rise in the company thus far in a recent interview with Pak Gazette Digital.

“She has proven that she is a special man. She is a special talent just in her childhood stages. On the other hand, I wouldn’t want to push Kendal too quickly because right now she is being highly touted as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, female wrestler to ever come through the WWE system,” he said.

“I don’t want her to get a big head or anything like that because she’s very young in the business and she’s learned it very quickly. But of course, psychology. When she learns that, oh man, she’s going to be hell to deal with. It’s going to be something very, very special. But she really has to learn that side.”

Booker T said Armstrong also has the ability to be great. However, there were still certain skills that he needed to hone before he could achieve his greatness.

“She’s a very, very special talent. The first Evolve Women’s Champion. And then she lost that championship to Kendal Grey. I told her, ‘There’s a reason you lost that championship. We’ve got to figure it out.’ You’ve got to put yourself in a position where if you lose it, it’ll come back to you,” she said.

“Again, there are those basic elements that we have to work with Kali. I, personally, I’m going to work with Kali person to person, in an individual perspective, to hone that skill, to let her know those details. I always say what you do before and what you do after… She has it all. She checks a lot of boxes, but completing her is something I’m looking forward to doing.”

Gray was an amateur wrestling star in high school and at one point was on Team USA’s national wrestling team.

Armstrong was a track star in college before signing with WWE.

“But as far as the ceiling goes, very, very high for both women,” Booker T added.
