DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has given fans an update on three beleaguered DC Universe (DCU) projects, and it’s bad news for one of them. Responding to a fan on Threads, Gunn confirmed that The Authoritya film that was part of the initial announcement of Gunn’s DCU Chapter One schedule in January 2023, has been cancelled.
As part of a longer response to someone theorizing that Gunn was planning to write and/or direct the film, he said: “The script wasn’t quite there, but more importantly it didn’t work in terms of the larger DCU, both in terms of story and practicalities. Responding to another question about two shows still expected to come to HBO Max at some point, Gunn wrote: “Reinforcement gold is in development. lost paradise “It is in extreme development.”

Where Reinforcement gold In regards to this, the DCU’s most unlikely TV show was said to have found its showrunner last July. However, in March, DC fans began debating Reinforcement goldFate amid reports that its showrunner had dropped out. Gunn’s latest comments, then, will make some fans breathe a sigh of relief.
Things have been even quieter in the lost paradise forehead. In fact, with the announcement last June that a Wonder Woman movie was in the works, fans were wondering if the Wonder Woman-adjacent TV show would ever see the light of day. In short: this is how it will be.
