FCC CJ orders faster disposal of cases


ISLAMABAD:

Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan has underlined the urgent need for prompt disposal of cases, directing all courts to adopt effective case management practices to significantly reduce the burden of pending litigation.

The order came during a full court meeting on Monday chaired by CJ Khan. All FCC judges as well as Registrar Hafeezullah Khan attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on key administrative and judicial matters aimed at strengthening institutional performance, improving operational efficiency and reinforcing the court’s commitment to the timely delivery of justice.

According to an official statement, several decisions of strategic importance resulted from the meeting.

Emphasizing the constitutional imperative of timely justice, the CJ highlighted the need for expeditious resolution of cases and directed the implementation of efficient case management techniques.

The goal, he noted, is to ensure a visible reduction in the backlog of cases and improve public confidence in the judicial system.

The court reiterated its determination to ensure prompt decisions in order to maintain public confidence in the judicial framework and uphold constitutional order and discipline. The meeting also reviewed ongoing capacity building initiatives within the institution.

Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan appreciated the in-house training programs being carried out for ministerial staff in grades 8 to 16, noting that such efforts are vital in improving administrative competence and professional standards.

These training modules include IT skills, workplace discipline and office ethics, components considered essential to building a modern, efficient and responsible institutional structure.

Justice Khan highlighted that continuous professional development of staff is indispensable to ensure administrative excellence and institutional integrity.

Reaffirming the court’s commitment to transparency, efficiency and compliance with constitutional principles, he emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accountability at all levels.

The FCC reiterated that it remains steadfast in its mission to defend the rule of law and ensure the delivery of effective, transparent and timely justice.
