The FPSC said the top 30 posts had been allotted to the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and the Pakistan Police Service. However, none of the top 30 candidates landed a position in the Foreign Service.

According to figures published by the commission, the candidates obtained good results: 177 women passed the exam compared to 178 men. Among those recommended for appointment, women outnumbered men: 86 candidates were selected out of a total of 170.

The statement also noted that a specially-abled (blind) candidate got the second overall position on merit and was assigned to the PAS.

Data published by the commission showed a strong regional concentration among the best. Of the top 30 candidates, 23 belonged to Punjab, while Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa had two candidates each. Three candidates from Balochistan also made it to the top 30 list.
