Major gaming hardware manufacturer and publisher Nacon has predicted that the Nintendo Switch 2 could launch in April.
In its most recent quarterly report, Nacon said it expected a successful first half of the 2025/26 fiscal year, which runs from April to September 2025, thanks to “several positive factors.”
This not only includes the release of several delayed hardware products, as well as a release calendar pack with ten new games, but also the anticipated arrival of the Nintendo Switch 2.
The company claims that it “already has supported games and a full range of accessories,” presumably referring to backwards compatibility with the Nintendo Switch 2 software.
Nintendo revealed the upcoming system on January 16 in a short trailer. This will be followed by a Nintendo Direct focused on Nintendo Switch 2 on April 2, where we’ll presumably learn more about the console’s hardware features and software lineup.
We know that Nintendo is aiming for a 2025 release, but the company has not yet provided a concrete timeline. We’ll have to wait and see if Nacon’s prediction holds up.
