The only daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate made her most impressive appearance yet when she turned 11 on Saturday, just a week after her little brother celebrated his own birthday.
Kensington Palace had credited photographer Matt Porteous for the stunning photo. It was shared with a message: “Wishing Charlotte a very happy 11th birthday! [birthday cake emoji].”
Royal fans quickly flooded the comments section with love and wishes for Charlotte.
The photo is believed to have been taken during a walk in Cumbria and shows the princess sitting on the ground with the hills in the background.
They also noted how much the young princess looks like her father and channels her mother, Princess Kate’s, style in the photo. Many were surprised to see how quickly Charlotte had grown before their eyes.
“It seems like just yesterday we were waiting outside the Lindo wing to see this little princess for the first time. She’s a preteen now!” said one user.
Another pointed out how the young royal sported a quirky blue nail polish, a glimpse into her fashion style choices.

The Welsh, who moved into Forest Lodge last November, are expected to hold a special private celebration for the young princess.
