King Charles, who has made two very important consecutive visits abroad, did not forget an important date regarding his beloved granddaughter in the midst of his busy schedule.
Prince William and Princess Kate’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, turned 11 on Saturday and King Charles’ team gave her a special nod.
After Kensington Palace posted a lovely photo of the young princess, the royal family shared a lovely greeting for Charlotte.
“Happy birthday to Princess Charlotte!” the message is read alongside a birthday cake and a balloon emoji.
Charles is a loving grandfather to all the children of Wales, but it seems he has a special place for his beloved granddaughter.
According to many royal biographers, Charles always wanted to have a daughter. Therefore, she shares a special relationship with her daughter-in-law Kate Middleton and that rings true for Charlotte as well.
The relationship Charles shares with Charlotte was recently showcased during the Easter Service last month.
As King headed inside the chapel for the service, he greeted the Welsh warmly, but stopped to give Charlotte a gentle pat on the shoulder.
The young princess was noticeably beaming at the endearing gesture and felt a sense of pride. It is not surprising that the monarch has a predilection for the 11-year-old boy.
Many experts have pointed out how Charlotte follows in the footsteps of her great-aunt, Princess Anne, who is also strict with rules and protocols. At a young age, Charlotte has shown that she is prepared for a future with royal duties, something that would make the King very proud of his granddaughter.
It is understood that private celebrations will be held at Forest Lodge to mark the special occasion.
