- Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Predicts AI Will Create More Jobs Than It Does
- AI is [the] America’s best chance to reindustrialize, says Huang
- Huang also says ‘AI condemners’ ‘don’t understand’ the technology
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is once again confident that using AI at work will make us all more productive and efficient.
Speaking with MSNBC’s Becky Quick at a Milken Institute event, Huang promoted the idea that AI would create a large number of jobs, rather than lead to widespread extinction of roles.
“AI creates jobs,” Huang said, “AI is [the] The United States’ best opportunity to “reindustrialize.”

Are Doomers Misunderstanding AI?
When asked about the role AI will play in the coming industrial era, Huang sought to allay fears that the technology would take over entire roles, focusing instead on the role it would play in automating routine or boring tasks, freeing up human workers for more interesting areas.
Huang said that people who believe that an entire function will be replaced simply because a single part is automated “don’t understand that the purpose of a job and the task of a job are related” and are not always the be-all and end-all.
On a broader scale, the CEO also criticized those pushing Terminator-style AI narratives that rule the planet or wipe out parts of the economy.
“My biggest concern is that we scare… people,” he said, “all the people we tell these science fiction stories to, to the point where AI is so unpopular in the United States, or people are so afraid of it, that they don’t really engage with it.”
The topic was one that Huang has been pushing for some time, perhaps unsurprisingly given the pole position Nvidia is taking in AI launches around the world.
When asked at the company’s Nvidia GTC 2026 event in March 2026 about how it is using AI in daily work, Huang said
When asked how his company uses AI in daily work, Huang noted: “Nvidia is moving faster than ever, but that’s because we use more and more AI and therefore work is done faster, all projects are moving faster.”
“I feel like I’m getting busier, to be honest… my experience with Nvidia today is that it’s making me busier than I was six months ago, and the reason is that work results are coming back to you much faster, work is coming back to you much faster, and the number of projects is growing much faster.”
“AI will do things super fast… my feeling is that AI will make us able to do things so fast that we’ll end up doing more.”
