A federal judge has released the handwritten note allegedly written by Jeffrey Epstein.
The note claimed as his “suicide note” was discovered by his former cellmate after 7 years as a convicted sex offender.
The undated note with no signature that could prove Epstein’s identity was made public on Wednesday, May 6, by Judge Kenneth M. Karas of the Federal District Court in White Plains, New York.
The note says: “They investigated me for a month, THEY FOUND NOTHING!!! It’s a pleasure to be able to choose the moment to say goodbye. Watcha wants me to burst into tears!! IT’S NOT FUN – IT’S NOT WORTH IT!!
In court documents, Epstein’s fellow inmate Nicholas Tartaglione, a former police officer convicted of quadruple murder, testified that he found the note in a graphic novel after Epstein’s suicide attempt in July 2019. Tartaglione claims he revived Epstein using CPR after the suicide attempt.
Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell a few weeks later, at age 66, and the cause of his death was suicide. Epstein’s death has since been a focus of conspiracy theories, even though the Justice Department released jail surveillance footage last year, revealing that no one entered his cell that day.
Experts compare the handwriting of your previous postcard. There are a couple of similarities in both writing samples, including a slight tilt to the right side, joining letters in a cursive fashion, and some inconsistency in spacing between words, indicating that both writers have a relatively disorganized way of writing.
No authoritative source has yet confirmed that it was written by Epstein himself.
