‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Officially Joins the Marvel Universe in Latest Comic – Here’s Everything You Need to Know

In an unexpected crossover, Marvel Comics has officially recognized “Jujutsu Kaisen” as part of its multiverse.

The all-time favorite anime series is now canon within the sprawling Marvel reality.

The surprise comes in “Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #4,” when the X-Men heroine traverses the multiverse and, for a brief period, visits the world of Gege Akutami’s shōnen manga sensation. On one panel, there is an illustration of Ryomen Sukuna’s destructive attack during the Shibuya Incident Arc, and the location is labeled: “Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. The multiverse group of magic and death.”

Despite being a subtle reference, its implications are enormous. This marks the official entry of “Jujutsu Kaisen” into Marvel’s infinite multiverse.

Can there be a complete crossover?

There are no announcements of official crossover plans from either Marvel or Shueisha (the Japanese publisher of Jujutsu Kaisen). However, Marvel history indicates such crossover patterns.

The anime has amassed fans around the world, as previously DC Comics also introduced protagonist Yuji Itadori in “Nightwing #113.”

Fans are hoping for a full “Jujutsu Kaisen” acknowledgment. Itadori’s official existence in the Marvel multiverse is an optimistic move that full crossover is possible in the near future.
