ARY News assignment chief says: ‘This is false information. We never broadcast this news’
Several people, including users who appear to be PTI supporters based on their previous posts, shared an alleged ARY News visual on social media platform However, the image is invented and the media did not publish any news of this type.

On May 13, an account that appears to be pro-PTI based on its previous posts and bio, shared a image in X of a ARY News newsletter showing Sanaullah sharing the news that Imran will be released soon, with the following title: “Imran Khan will be released this week. Is this true?”
The publication obtained 129,500 views.
Another pro-PTI account on X shared the same image on the same day, questioning the news with the caption: “Can anyone confirm this news?”
The publication obtained 112,400 views.

Methodology
A fact check was initiated to ascertain the veracity of the claim due to high public interest in Imran’s imprisonment and speculation surrounding his possible release from Adiala Jail.
A keyword search to verify if ARY News or any other credible Pakistani or international media had recently reported that such comments by Sanaullah did not yield any results.
Inspecting the image for visual discrepancies showed that Sanaullah’s ears appeared noticeably blurred and distorted.
The yellow color used for the Urdu tag “بریکنگ نیوز” (Breaking News) was also slightly darker than the outlet’s original broadcast graphics in the breaking news box. Additionally, the “LIVE” error and “ARIA NEWS” The logo displayed in the lower right corner was blurry and had a lower resolution compared to the rest of the frame, indicating possible digital manipulation.
By analyzing the image using forensic tools, Fake Image Detector showed that it marked the image as 100 percent “computer-generated or modified image.”

When contacted for comment on the matter, Fayyaz Hyder Mangi, head of assignment at ARY Newsprovided the following response:
“This is false information. We never broadcast this news. The absence of our single red line over the English symbol further confirms that this was fabricated using our color scheme and branding to mislead viewers.”
Furthermore, no statements of any kind were found on the issue from PTI leaders, social media pages or Imran’s family.

The statement that a ARY News The image shows that a quote from Sanaullah about Imran’s release this week on humanitarian grounds is false.
The image is fake and the media did not broadcast any such news nor did Sanaullah make any such comments.
