- Lenovo launches compact 100W power bank with 10000mAh capacity
- Lenovo Legion P5 10000 supports phones, laptops and tablets through multiple charging ports simultaneously
- Low current mode supports headphones and portable devices for safe charging
Lenovo has announced a new Legion-branded power bank with a capacity of 10,000 mAh; However, many fans may be disappointed not to get their hands on one.
The company says the P5 10000 can provide long-lasting battery life for smartphones, computers, tablets and other devices people use every day.
The power bank supports up to 100W high power output with intelligent dynamic power distribution for flexible charging and discharging.
Designed for high and low current devices
The power bank includes a built-in Type-C cable along with a USB-C port and a USB-A connection for external accessories.
A small circular screen appears on the front panel, although Lenovo has not explained all the functions supported by the screen.
The device features a modern mechanical-style exterior with a compact and lightweight construction for easy portability during travel or commuting.
The device can charge PCs and portable gaming consoles as a single-device solution for worry-free battery life, but we won’t recommend it.
Considering the battery capacity, the device is more suitable for low-power devices such as smart watches and headphones thanks to its low-current charging support feature.
Users just press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to activate low current mode.
In addition to Lenovo’s fast charging protocol, this device also supports Huawei and Apple’s fast charging protocols.
The Legion P5 10000 has a 3C certification, meaning it’s supposedly safe to carry on planes and trains.
But there is no product page available to confirm any of these technical details for public review.
Availability, prices and alternatives.
The Lenovo P5 10000 portable power station will officially hit shelves on May 19 and will sell for 169 CNY, which is approximately 25 dollars or 21 euros.
At the time of writing, this device was listed on JD.com, a Chinese online retail platform.
Unfortunately, there’s no word on a global release for this device, so you probably won’t be able to buy it unless you have links to China.
If you live in the Western world and need a Lenovo power bank, you can get the Lenovo Go USB-C Laptop Power Bank, but this device costs $140.
It is a 20,000 mAh power bank that supports fast charging up to 65W, making it best suited for devices with large batteries, such as laptops and portable game consoles.
This device can also power up to three devices simultaneously while staying cool under load.
While it is more expensive than the P5 10000, it offers more capacity and therefore more options.
