NYT Strands Today (Game #806): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #806 are…
- ORANGE
- TANGERINE
- LIME
- CHINESE ORANGE
- GRAPEFRUIT
- TANGERINE
- SPANGRAM: CITRUS
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Another easy game, although it was a little complicated with the elimination of the most common CITRUS, the lemon.
Instead of the lemon we had two fruits with fewer spots: the KUMQUAT, which is like a miniature orange and is often used to make jam, and GRAPEFRUIT, a pomegranate-melon hybrid that took me a couple of tries because I kept trying to connect it as poleme.
After finishing the game I was excited to discover that the polemo actually exists and is famous (although not that famous, obviously) for being the largest citrus fruit.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Sunday, May 17, Game #805)
- MARKER
- LANES
- PAWS
- BALLS
- LOUNGE
- ARCADE
- SPANGRAM: BOLIVIA
