Denny Hamlin is coming off a victory in the All-Star Race at Dover. And while it wasn’t a points race, arriving in Charlotte after starting from the pole and leading 103 laps in last week’s exhibition could give him the boost he needs to take the checkered flag in the Coke 600. His first and only victory in this race came in 2022. In 2025, he started 20th but finished 16th after posting the day’s best lap of 29.37 and leading 53 laps.
Long shot to look
While Katherine Legge is at the bottom of this odds board, she is someone fans may want to watch this weekend as she attempts to execute the Memorial Day weekend double in motorsports. Your day will begin at the Indy 500 when it starts at the Brickyard. Then, weather permitting, you’ll finish your day at the Charlotte track. Tony Stewart is the only driver to have completed the 1,100 miles of The Double and that was in 2001.
