Sameer to be questioned in jail as police investigate alleged passengers, drug supply chain and financial trail
Karachi’s Darakhshan and Garden police have intensified their action against the facilitators of alleged ‘Cocaine Queen’ Anmol alias Pinky after a district and sessions court on Thursday granted permission to arrest and interrogate a key suspect in two cases.
The court allowed the police to arrest and investigate Muhammad Sameer, allegedly a close associate of Pinky, in connection with the cases. The investigating officer was directed to conduct his interrogation at the Central Jail, where he is currently incarcerated.
According to the police, Sameer was arrested in June 2021 in a hashish recovery case and remains in custody. Meanwhile, Pinky is on remand with the police.

During interrogation, Pinky allegedly revealed the names of the bikers involved in supplying narcotics, including Sameer. Police said the suspect allegedly used a motorcycle to deliver drugs and also handled the transfer of proceeds from the sale of narcotics through bank accounts.
Police said the suspect needs to be questioned further and requested his remand into custody for investigation.
On the other hand, the complainant in the murder case against Pinky did not appear before the court to record his statement under section 164.
According to the document issued by the judicial magistrate of the Southern District of the Judicial Complex of the Central Prison, the complainant was summoned to take a statement in the case, but did not appear.

Judicial sources said that the complainant could not attend the procedure due to the illness of one of his parents.
Subsequently, the judicial magistrate left the Judicial Complex without taking a statement. The investigator and lawyers also did not appear in court.
Special public prosecutor Shakeel Abbasi claimed that the complainant in the case was a social worker.
