- A leak claims that the iPhone 19 Pro could have a four-curved screen
- This is a feature that some Android phones have had before, and we could see it become popular again if the iPhone gets it.
- A quad-curved screen can make bezels appear smaller
Apple isn’t one to drastically change the design of its phones frequently, but next year, to mark the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, we could see the company adopt a design feature that some Android phones used to have.
Specifically, the iPhone 19 Pro and iPhone 19 Pro Max could have quad-curved displays, according to leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo (via GSMArena). That would mean all four edges of the screen would be curved, although we suspect it might just be a slight curve, especially on the top and bottom edges.
We’ve seen this idea before on phones like the Honor Magic 6 Pro and the Motorola Edge 60, so it’s not a new concept, and dual-curved screens used to be very popular among Android phone makers (even if, nowadays, most Android devices have flat screens).
Follow the leader
However, if Apple does indeed release a quad-curved iPhone, then it is very likely that we will see many Android devices doing the same.
Quad-curved displays look striking and can reduce visible screen bezels, so they certainly have advantages. And it makes sense that Apple would want to turn heads with the iPhone 19 Pro line, since these phones will be the 20th generation iPhone models (hello, iPhone XX?).
We also previously heard that the iPhone 19 Pro could have an under-display Face ID component, meaning it would have just a small punch-hole camera or no cutout in the display at all. So, you might want to skip the iPhone 18 lineup and wait until September 2027, when the iPhone 19 Pro series is expected to land.
