In an unlikely political crossover, Hunter Biden sat in on a nearly two-hour interview with conservative podcast host Candace Owens.
This interview signals a major turn in their previously hostile relationship.
The crossover was filmed at Owens’ home in Nashville, where the right-wing commentator apologized for years of attacks on the former president’s son, even calling him a “crack addict.”
She apologized for her previous statements about the contents of his famous laptop, claiming that they revealed her father’s addiction problem and not any corruption.
Owens told Biden: “I’m really, really sorry.”
The conversation took place at a time when Owens had been distancing himself from the Trump administration over its response to the Iran war, as well as the Epstein files. Biden, for his part, has been criticizing Democrats’ leadership since he resigned as the president’s father.
During their conversation, the two found some mutually agreed-upon motives, including the unsolved murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Biden even commented that he respected her persistence in questioning the details surrounding Kirk’s situation.
Owens said, “We still don’t know what happened to Charlie Kirk,” expressing frustration that Trump and his allies believe the official narrative.
Biden added: “Coming from someone who you have attacked politically and and we disagree on so many things, I hear you and I move on.”
Additionally, Biden and Trump share common stories of family members struggling with substance abuse. While Biden has been clean since 2019, he denied that the cocaine found inside the White House in 2023 was his.
