Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita finally meet in a long-awaited rematch of their fight in the Continental Classic semifinals at Worlds End in December.

The two members of the Don Callis family had been at odds for months. The highly competitive professional wrestling superstars finally participated in a match at All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) Double or Nothing on Sunday in New York for Okada’s International Championship.

The match did not disappoint.

It was hard-hitting and fast-paced, almost difficult to keep up with what was happening because neither Okada nor Takeshita would stay down for long. The crowd at Louis Armstrong Stadium chanted, “Fight forever!” while each man threw blows at each other.

Okada would nail a Tombstone Piledriver on Takeshita and then the patented Rainmaker. But Takeshita got up after the referee counted to one. Takeshita ducked as deep as he could into his soul and hit Okada with his own version of the Rainmaker.

Takeshita finished Okada with Raging Fire and was victorious to become the new AEW International Champion. It is the second time he has won the AEW International Championship, which represents the only individual title he has been able to achieve in the company.

Takeshita’s moment of joy did not last long. I needed to keep my head spinning. As it looked like the Don Callis family was going to completely ruin their night, Kyle Fletcher’s music came on and sent the crowd into a frenzy.

Fletcher walked to the ring with everyone in Callis’ faction watching to see what he was going to do. At first he hugged Takeshita and raised his hand in a moment of congratulation.

But it didn’t last long.

Fletcher tied up Takeshita with a clothesline and then hit him with the belt while Rocky Romero and Mark Davis held him down.

Fletcher proved his loyalty lied and seemed to be with the Don Callis family.
