Certified copy of Supreme Court order of May 12 was presented to the court
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed June 1 to hear suspended sentence applications filed by human rights lawyers Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir and Hadi Ali Chattha in the social media posts case, following directions issued earlier this month by the Supreme Court.
According to a one-page written order issued by IHC Justice Muhammad Azam Khan after last week’s proceedings, a certified copy of the May 12 Supreme Court order had been filed before the court.
The high court had ordered the IHC to decide within two weeks on the couple’s pleas for suspension of their sentences.
