Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to be divided on their priorities as the couple faces a new dilemma.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have maintained a united front before the public as they continue to support each other in their efforts. However, it’s hard to ignore that Harry and Meghan have been walking completely separate paths lately.
Harry had shifted his focus to his charity work, while Meghan has been building her brand. However, Harry is also said to be working towards a reconciliation with the royals, who are keen to make progress with the duke but not interested in the duchess.
Royalty will come together for a joyous occasion this month when Peter Philips marries Harriet Sperling in an intimate wedding. Royal author Duncan Larcombe revealed that while Peter has no problem with his cousin Harry, the invitation was delayed because of Prince William.
What’s more, the former bbc Royal correspondent Jennie Bond had previously noted that Harry and Meghan’s appearance at the wedding would only distract the bride and groom’s attention and bring unnecessary drama.
Duncan noted that events are testing Harry as Meghan maintains her focus on building her brand.
Harry faces his “worst nightmare” as he lives the life of a “real pseudo-celebrity, bringing with him all the things he hated as a child.”
“He’s trapped in the world of red carpets and camera flashes, which as a child he never felt comfortable with. Whereas with Meghan, red carpets and cameras are part of building her brand, so she needs to protect herself from Harry’s chaos in order to achieve what she wants,” he explained.
Meghan is reportedly worried about her financial situation and isn’t about to let royal drama get in the way of her goals.
