Prince William, who continues to cherish and uphold the legacy of his late mother, Princess Diana, shared a special message just hours after a never-before-seen letter surfaced.
It turned out to be bittersweet not only for William but also for his younger brother Prince Harry, as the brothers are still estranged and reportedly do not want peace. Despite their differences, they both love their late mother deeply and have continued to carry her legacy in their own ways.
What’s more, both continue to be part of the Diana Award, making their contribution known individually. While there is still uncertainty over when the icy relations between the brothers will thaw, William offered words of wisdom for the future generation.
Diana famously said that “young people have the power to change the world,” which was the sentiment that resonated in William’s message.
“Empower the next generation,” a message was shared from Kensington Palace. “Concluding the day with the Diana Award at SXSW London in Shoreditch, celebrating young people using their voices and leadership to drive positive change.”
He continued: “Meet recent Legacy Award winners and hear how they continue to inspire action, unlock potential and show the power of youth-led change.”
Meanwhile, the message revealed in Diana’s letter was for her children to learn the importance of “communication at a deeper level.” It’s ironic that the two brothers haven’t spoken a word in over three years.
Although it remains to be seen if their paths will cross in some way, even if it is at the wish of his mother or his father, King Charles, who is sick with cancer.
