- A certification listing has been detected for a device believed to be Garmin Cirqa.
- It includes Bluetooth as the only connectivity option, suggesting it won’t have Wi-Fi or GPS.
- That puts it in line with rival screenless wearables.
If you’ve been looking forward to the Garmin Cirqa, we’ve got slightly disappointing but not surprising news: it looks like this display-less wearable will lack ANT+, GPS, and Wi-Fi.
This is according to a certification listing for a device believed to be the Cirqa found at the Integrated Regulatory Information System (IRIS) in Singapore, as discovered by The5kRunner (via NotebookCheck).
The listing reveals only Bluetooth for connectivity, meaning the Garmin Cirqa (assuming that’s what it is) would need to be paired with a nearby smartphone to track things like distances and routes when running or cycling.
So if you prefer to exercise without your phone, this rumored wearable may not be the one for you.
Putting it in line with rivals
While that’s a shame, it’s not really surprising considering rival display-less devices like the Fitbit Air and Whoop 5.0 also lack built-in GPS.
But that means the Cirqa will likely align with them, rather than rise above them. This could have been a clear differentiation that would help Garmin’s next device beat its key rivals, but the brand apparently hasn’t taken advantage of that opportunity.
Still, for those who already use a Garmin watch, or just like the Garmin brand but want something without a screen, the Cirqa will probably remain the obvious choice, so there’s likely a built-in audience for it.
We’ll probably soon find out exactly what the Garmin Cirqa has to offer, and whether it has other ways to stand out, as previous leaks point to a mid-2026 launch.
