Phil Mickelson is ready to fight the latest allegations leveled against him that saw him banned from his own golf club.
The six-time major champion was accused of having inappropriate contact with a female employee before a round of golf this spring at The Farms Golf Club in the San Diego area.
Mickelson allegedly approached the employee in the clubhouse and made inappropriate and non-consensual physical contact with her. The employee reported the incident to club supervisors after rejecting alleged advances following Mickelson’s return to the golf course.

However, Mickelson’s attorney said the video evidence will absolve Mickelson of any wrongdoing.
“There is a tremendous amount of misinformation circulating and while Phil’s full attention is devoted to a private family health matter, he has retained a defamation attorney and is determined to hold any individual publication or traffic responsible for false speculation or rumors,” Mickelson’s attorney Tom Clare told Golf Digest.
Club officials acted quickly and located Mickelson in the middle of his round, confronted him with the accusation on the golf course and told him to leave the premises. Mickelson reportedly left the facility before completing his round.

“Following a report from a staff member of misconduct, the Club provided immediate and ongoing support to the staff member, conducted a thorough independent investigation into the incident and took decisive action. This individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club,” a club statement shared with Golf Digest explained in part.
“The Farms conducts thorough reviews of all reported matters in accordance with California law and takes appropriate action when warranted, consistent with our commitment to integrity, excellence and accountability. To protect the safety and privacy of our staff and members, we cannot speak further about this matter. We appreciate your understanding.”
Mickelson, a member of LIV Golf, has played just one of the tour’s nine completed events this season due to an undisclosed “personal health issue” within his family. That lone LIV appearance came in late March in South Africa, where the T-48 finished.
