Behind the scenes of Red Arrows as Trooping the Color ends with a dazzling aerial flight

A behind-the-scenes video shared by Red Arrows offered royal fans a rare glimpse of the precision and preparation behind one of Trooping the Color’s most anticipated moments: the spectacular flyover over central London in honor of His Majesty the King.

In footage posted to Instagram, the display team could be seen preparing their planes and briefing the pilots before flying, with Buckingham Palace visible in the distance as the capital prepared for the dramatic aerial finale.

The video captioned the moment as a look “behind the scenes of the Red Arrows flyover over London for His Majesty the King’s official birthday.”

As the aerial parade concluded and the Royal Family’s balcony appearance came to a close, crowds began to slowly disperse from The Mall, marking the close of this year’s Trooping the Color celebrations.

The annual ceremony, which marks the official birthday of the Sovereign, is traditionally scheduled in June in the hope that the weather will be more favorable and this year it certainly delivered.

The culmination of the day came at Buckingham Palace, where the King and Queen joined senior members of the Royal Family on the iconic balcony to watch the Red Arrows fly across the sky in formation.

Among the highlights was that of the young Prince Louis, who once again captured the public’s attention as he walked away from his brothers during the flight, watching the planes with unmistakable amazement.
