Punjab is experiencing a significant change in weather patterns, with the winter season shortening and temperatures rising earlier than usual.

According to the Meteorological Department, dry weather persists across the province, reducing the intensity of the cold and giving a glimpse of spring, particularly in Lahore, Express News reported.

In the provincial capital, the minimum temperature recorded was 7°C, while the maximum is expected to reach 24°C.

The current dry spell is likely to continue for the next two to three days, with no rain forecast during this period.

Meteorologists have noted that this year’s winter season has been remarkably short, indicating a possible change in seasonal patterns.

Furthermore, Karachi is experiencing a notable drop in temperatures following the arrival of cold winds from Balochistan.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the cold wave will persist for the next few days, and the temperature could drop to single digits, Express News reported.

On Thursday morning, Karachi’s minimum temperature was recorded at 10.9°C, a decrease of 3.6°C compared to the previous day.

The city is under the influence of a western weather system, causing frigid winds to hit the region.
