Angel Reese dragged to ground for flagrant foul as Atlanta Dream defeats Toronto Tempo

Toronto Tempo forward Isabelle Harrison made a move on Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese on Sunday usually reserved for American football.

The Dream had a 10-point lead in the third quarter as Reese and Harrison battled for position under the basket. Reese received an inbound pass in the paint and attempted to get closer to the basket when Harrison dragged her to the ground.

Reese was furious when she got up and players from both teams had to separate them. Harrison received a flagrant foul 2 and was ejected from the game.

Harrison was seen laughing as he walked back to the locker room. The two had fought throughout the game and talked trash to each other.

Atlanta won the game, 102-77.

Reese finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds, including a career-high 11 offensive rebounds. She was one away from tying a WNBA single-game record for offensive rebounds. He came into the game averaging 14.6 points and 11.9 rebounds along with nine double-doubles this season.

Allisha Gray led the Dream with 26 points and seven assists. Rhyne Howard had 24 points and six rebounds.

The Dream improved to 9-4 with the win.

Harrison had 17 points and three rebounds before being ejected. His point total led the Tempo. Julie Allemand scored 13 points and six assists. MarĂ­a Conde scored 12 points off the bench.

Toronto fell to 7-7 on the year.

Atlanta is fourth in the standings and Toronto is ninth, a half-game behind the Los Angeles Sparks for the final playoff spot.
