- Clarkson Farm Episodes 7 and 8 of season 5 reveal that Jeremy Clarkson has been diagnosed with cancer
- The final scene shows the treatment going “wrong” and Jeremy is rushed to the hospital.
- Season 6 began filming in early 2026.
Clarkson Farm Episodes 7 and 8 of season 5 are now streaming on Prime Video, but they come to the shocking conclusion that Jeremy Clarkson has been diagnosed with cancer.
The diagnosis is revealed midway through episode 7, when Jeremy tells Kaleb and Charlie that he will be away for a significant portion of the year’s harvest.
He describes the cancer as “aggressive” but “in very early stages,” and hopes to be “in and out” for an operation in July 2025, but has known his health status since May.
This ties into comments Jeremy made about the crew being “worn out” and needing a “break from filming” that he made during the same month.
Nothing else is mentioned until the last scene of episode 8, when an ambulance arrives at Diddly Squat. We cut to Jeremy in a hospital bed, who explains that his cancer treatment has gone “wrong.”
“If all goes well, we’ll see you in season six,” he says goodbye. “If not, I won’t do it. Everyone take care of yourselves.”
The scenes are distressing, and even Jeremy himself says on Instagram that the final episodes of the fifth season are “difficult to watch.”
Despite this, there is a very good reason why fans should be hopeful.
Clarkson’s Farm Season 6 Production Should Be a Positive Sign for Jeremy’s Health
Look
Clarkson Farm It’s been widely reported that season 6 will be in production during the first half of 2026, so combining this with Jeremy’s approval of season 5 above, we can assume that all is well (enough) when it comes to his health.
However, that doesn’t mean the new series has been without its problems. In a post on the show’s official Facebook page, its social team said: “Filming has already faced some obstacles along the way, including a pause in production, positive tuberculosis [tuberculosis] testing and incessant rain earlier this year.
While we can assume that the production halt was related to Jeremy’s treatment, this has not been confirmed.
In May 2025, which would have been around the same time Jeremy found out about his diagnosis, he told The Times: “I would do a sixth if there was a reason to do it, like a good story… Whatever happens, we’ll definitely take a short break as all the teams are sold out.
“We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everyone could use a break.”
The season 6 release window has been pushed back to summer 2027, meaning new episodes could be seen as late as August. Amazon has yet to make an official statement on the renewal.
