Rockstar Games announced the update in a new blog post, confirming that those with a copy of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One digital version of GTA 5 You can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S versions for free, before next GTA online update.
This means players will save approximately $40 compared to if they purchased the game for the first time in the current generation.
“Starting tomorrow, those who own any version of PS4 or the digital version of Xbox One of grand theft car 5 You can upgrade to the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S versions at no additional cost and experience the best versions of GTA 5 and GTA online prior to the release of The Kortz Center Heist,” the studio said.

These features have already been available on PC for some time, along with additional PC-exclusive features such as ambient occlusion, global illumination, ray-traced shadows and reflections, as well as support for Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR1 and FSR3.
In case you missed it, Rockstar has also officially confirmed that pre-orders for grand theft car 6 will begin at the end of this month, on June 25.
The long-awaited announcement comes from a new trailer, where the studio revealed the game’s official cover art and shared new artwork that fans can use as their desktop wallpaper.
While we finally know when fans can get their copies ahead of the game’s release on November 19, there’s still no word on how much. GTA 6 it will cost. However, we will know within the next seven days.
GTA 6 will be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S at launch, and no PC version has yet been announced.
