Ringleaders among the 30 dead terrorists in KP operations

Rawalpindi:

At least 30 terrorists have been eliminated in three separate military clashes in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, a province where the security situation remains volatile due to its proximity to Afghanistan, where terrorists seem to have loose rein to orchestrate attacks within Pakistan.

“On January 24 and 25, 2025, thirty Khwarij died in three separate clashes in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa,” said the army media wing, the ISPR, in a statement on Saturday night.

The Army uses the term “Khwarij” for the terrorists of the illegal group of violent groups who have found safe shelters in Afghanistan after its defeat of the old tribal belt in the 2014 military operation with the name in Zarb-E-AZB code.

By sharing details of military clashes, the ISPR declared that security forces carried out an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the Lakki Marwat district.

“During the operation, our own troops effectively attacked a Khwarij location and as a result, 18 khwarij were sent to hell, while six Khwarij were injured,” he added.

The security forces carried out another Ibo in the neighboring district of Karak. “In the exchange of shots that followed, eight khwarij were effectively neutralized by security forces,” added the ISPR statement.

Meanwhile, a Khyber District’s district, where the security forces “successfully neutralized four khwarij, including Kharji Azizur Rehman leaders, alias qari ismail, and Kharji Mukhlis, while two Khwarij were injured. “

According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition of dead terrorists were also recovered, who actively participated in numerous terrorist activities in the area against security forces and against innocent civilians.

“Sanitation operations are being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area,” said the army media wing, while reiterating the determination of security forces to eradicate the threat of terrorism in the country.

The IBO occurred two days after the security forces neutralize six terrorists in the Zhob district of Baluchistan, frustrating their attempt to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan. “On the night of January 22 and 23, the security forces detected the movement of a group of Khwarij, which tried to infiltrate through the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, in the Sambaza de Zhob area,” said Thursday the ISPR.

“The troops themselves faced and effectively frustrated their attempt to infiltrate. As a result, six Khwarij were sent to hell. A large number of weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered,” he added.

Pakistan has been constantly asking the interim government of Afghanistan to guarantee an effective border management on its side of the border. “The Afghan interim government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by the Khwarij to perpetuate acts of terrorism against Pakistan,” said the ISPR.

President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for his courage by eliminating terrorists in the successful operations in the districts of Lakki Marwat, Karak and Khyber.

“The murder of 30 terrorists in various operations is a significant achievement for security forces,” said the president in a statement issued by his office. President Zardari said that security operations will continue until the eradication of terrorists. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the elimination of terrorist elements.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security forces for successful operations against Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in the districts of Lakki Marwat, Karak and Khyber.

He thanked security forces for eliminating 30 Jawarij terrorists during operations. He said that the entire nation supported the security forces in the war against terrorism. He said the government was determined to eliminate all forms of terrorism in the country.
